Construction Work Planner (Commercial/Renovation)

About this vacancy

As a works planner, you are responsible for preparing and coordinating projects in the commercial construction, renovation and finishing sectors. You ensure that everything is in order, both technically and organisationally, before work commences.

You will work closely with project managers, site managers and subcontractors on complex construction projects within a professional and structured environment.

In this role, you’ll be given a great deal of responsibility and scope to contribute ideas regarding planning, costs and execution. You’ll act as the link between design and implementation, ensuring that projects run efficiently and without any surprises.

The role is available both as a permanent position and on a self-employed basis.

You’ll be working on technically challenging projects in the non-residential and renovation sectors. You’ll be given a great deal of responsibility and have a direct influence on the project outcome. What will you be doing?

You’ll draw up schedules, coordinate materials and monitor progress. You’ll liaise with suppliers and subcontractors, check drawings and identify risks. In addition, you’ll support the execution of projects and ensure they run efficiently.

Who are we looking for?

You have a background in construction (MBO+/HBO) and experience as a work planner in non-residential construction, refurbishment or finishing works. You are organised, a strong communicator and think ahead. You interact easily with various parties.
